Many white-collar workers wonder whether their jobs are in danger and will soon be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI as a shortcut, that is, the intelligence demonstrated by artificial devices), which apparently does the job faster, better and more efficiently. These are only apparent assumptions. AI may make fewer mistakes and connect facts faster, but it is only meant to be an aid to human work, and that was its idea from the beginning.

The term AI itself was originally coined quite a long time ago, in 1956, but has gained popularity in the present day, where algorithms have become more advanced and calculation power has increased. Its main properties are the ability to learn, process information and create new data from it.

From the applications of AI, we can mention such areas as image recognition, event prediction, which can be used in predicting sales levels, or interpreting natural language and quickly translating it into any other language.

AI is supposed to support the employee, but not replace him. Examples of interesting applications are also in less obvious areas such as banking, marketing, or even computer games.

One of the biggest banks in Poland has created a team in the AI Office to be responsible for finding and implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence.

This requires them to establish relationships with many of the bank’s other units in order to educate colleagues on the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. What’s more, an educational aspect has been created, where on the AI Office blog, the team creates educational articles.

Another interesting application of AI is the solution of the developers of the computer game- Gun Raiders, where artificial intelligence helps catch players using vulgarities. The bot can recognize ugly words and punish the user who uses them.

From now on, instead of moderators, order is watched over by the ToxMod tool, which assesses whether the words spoken were verbal abuse or a simple misunderstanding.

The most popular AI-based tool in recent times is the famous ChatGPT. A variety of questions, from asking “what’s up,” for collecting analytical data, or even writing code fragments, an artificial intelligence disguised as a chatbot is responsible.

As the chatbot describes itself,” it is just a Chatbot using GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) technology, which can be used for many different tasks.”

In summary, AI offers great opportunities to optimize work, where it can be used as a bot, chatbot, voice assistant, virtual assistant, or even facial recognition, and can improve identification, prediction, speed and accuracy, and automate many processes. Used wisely, it will achieve better results. No, AI will not replace employees. Al is just a tool to automate the activities performed by employees.
